Product Council X Tony Hawk

Product council  was hired by  Activision and Robomoto in December of 2008 to design and engineer the new Tony Hawk skateboard-shaped wireless videogame controller. The THR brings the Zen of skateboarding into the living room with full-body contact.  The challenge was to fuse the software capabilities, manufacturing constraints, and Tony Hawk’s vision, into a highly maneuverable and interactive product, supporting up to 300 pounds. The design had to lend itself to the various maneuvers and positions gamers perform, evoking a true-to-life skateboarding experience, sans the wheels.

The final graphics and color selection were created by fuseproject.
