Event A Success!
Our first event for the new year went off great! I would like to thank all of you that attended, as well as the family and friends. For those of you who were not in attendance, here's a recap.
1:30 pm - Lunch and networking began, followed by discussion about future IDSA Indiana event planning. Members were urged to fill out questionnaires and response forms provided as well as stay active in participation. (Lunch included delicious vegetarian ziti, chicken alfredo, salad, chocolate variety pastry tray, and beverages.)
2:15 pm - Craig Wetli spoke briefly and began tour of exhibits currently under construction, as well as pre-exhisting exhibits. He touched on every aspect that goes into planning and creating these world known pieces, and also gave us some insight as to whats to come. As a bonus we were allowed to tour the design studio as well as the shop where concepts are created and models are built.
3:45 pm - We returned to the boardroom where we collected questionaires and continued to network. Everyone updated contact information and finished off the food. Those wanting to remain at the Museum and venture off on their own were offered special discount rates to do so.
This was the perfect way to begin the new year. We have definitely raised the bar and expectations for future events. IDSA Indiana is official, and stronger than ever! I would like to give a special thanks to our guests who traveled to Indianapolis for this event, as well as the students that invested their day off. A special thank you is also in order to IDSA National who assisted us the entire way. Also Thank you Craig for your time and knowledge as well as lending your weekend to educate our designers. Everyone who experienced this tour will remember it and never take the Indianapolis Children's Museum for granted again!
