Where would designers be without paper?
To broaden perspectives on our industry and our craft, the IDSA challenges you to create an original piece of art inspired by the role of paper in design.

EXHIBITION & SILENT AUCTION
Join us for a silent auction benefitting the Design Foundation and Artworks.

Where would designers be without paper? Whether it’s a notebook, a drawing pad, or a napkin, designers use paper to record, visualize, and share their ideas. Even as the use of digital technology expands within our processes, paper remains essential, continuously finding its way into our workflow.Centered on the bond between experience and design, this year’s IDSA Mideast Conference aims to present new ideas and interpretations that broaden perspectives.

We challenge you to create an original piece of art inspired by the role of paper in your process.

ELIGIBILITY
Entrants should be professional or student designers. Work submitted may be in any media,
including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, video, digital imagery,
etc. Artists may submit multiple pieces for the show. All work should be no larger than 36” in any
dimension. If the number of entries exceeds gallery limits, curation and editing of the work will
be done as needed. The IDSA reserves the right to photograph all work for documentation and
publicity purposes.

SILENT AUCTION
All submissions will be donated by the artists, for sale during the exhibit via silent auction, with
proceeds benefitting Artworks and the Design Foundation.

DELIVERY
All work must arrive ready to install. Send work to Kaleidoscope (205 W 4th ST, Suite 900
Cincinnati, OH 45202). Work should be professionally-presented: anything not gallery-ready or not exhibiting good craftsmanship may be omitted. Work may be hand-delivered or shipped. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs.

INSURANCE
Artists are responsible for their own work. We are not responsible for any damage that occurs
during shipping or any other time.

REGISTRATION
A completed registration form is required with each submission; download the pdf form and send the completed form to Michael Roller by March 25th.
