Future Tense: Virtual, Augmented and Autonomous
The future is formed through the resolution of tensions: healthcare equity v cost; climate change v industry; connectivity v privacy; human versus AI and machine control.
When one set of tensions is resolved it often sends ripples through society—dramatically upending other markets and economic sectors. Charles Austen Angell, FIDSA, will explore the impact of augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles on society, and discuss the dramatic challenges that designers will need to help resolve in our brave new world.
