DULLES, Va., Jan. 17, 2012 – The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) has assembled this year’s International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA®) jury to choose the IDEA 2012 honorees. Catalyst Opens for 2012 Submissions

DULLES, Va., Oct. 27, 2011 - The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) recognizes Bombardier Recreational Products, The Coca Cola Co., Starkey and Oral-B as its 2011 Catalyst Design Case Study winners. 

A jury of 18 design and business leaders chose these four cases because they either demonstrated design’s power to generate revenue or positively addressed a social challenge.

Bespoke, Boeing and Microsoft Capture Top Honors for Design Excellence

DULLES, Va., Sept. 24, 2011 –  On Sept. 17, the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) unveiled the Best in Shows for the 2011 International Design Excellence Awards® (IDEA) at its annual international conference in New Orleans. Bespoke Fairings, Boeing Dreamliner 787 and Windows Phone 7 each claimed a Best in Show nod.

IDSA Extends 2011 International Design Excellence Awards Entry Deadline to Feb. 13

DULLES, Va., Dec. 8, 2010 – The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) honored Target Corp.’s ClearRx with the Design of the Decade award, sponsored by Teague. ClearRx addresses the communication, packaging and system deficiencies encountered by users of maintenance drugs, including the elderly. It provides a solution that can reduce potential risks associated with taking medications.

For over 30 years, IDEA has recognized design excellence in products, sustainability, interaction design, packaging, strategy, research and concepts.  The awards program honors new products that have been in distribution between Feb. 2009 and Feb. 2011.  The Henry Ford will house the winners in its permanent collection.
