Design Superheroes is a collaborative networking event that has superhero worthy design activities catered food and open bar/beverages!
Event includes Superhero mugshot networking wall, Storyboard Tutorial by Hallmark Designer Adan Chung, and a collaborative design challenge of superhero scale.
Design professionals and Students of all types are welcome!
IDSA members are free, non members: 10$ students and 15$ professionals (cash or credit at door)
Presenter Scott Butterfield is a Trends Consultant within the Creative Innovation and Discovery Division at Hallmark Cards, Inc.
His charge is to support, inform and inspire the creative community wiithin Hallmark. To help facilitate this mission, the Trends Group develops a yearly color and style forecast for Hallmark as well as seasonal palettes and design directions.
Gordon Bruce and Frederick Noyes give a presentation on the life and work of Eliot Noyes. Elliot was the first Director of Industrial Design at MoMA in the 1940’s as well as becoming A consulting Director of Design for IBM, Mobil Oil, Westinghouse and cummins Engine Company.

Objectified is being featured at the Tivoli Theater as part of the Design Film Series. Objectified is Gary Huswit’s follow up to Helvetica and focuses on the people behind the products that we use everyday. He expertly interviews a great cross section of designer’s to reveal the secret world of these detail oriented creators. September 15th at 7:30.
This documentary about Rem Koolhaas is the final installment of the Design Film Series and plays at 7:30 on September 29th at the Tivoli Theater. Tickets are $10 online or $12 at the door. Don’t miss out.
