The Herman Miller Ardea is a new task light inspired by nature with minimal impact on the environment.

The TazzyTotes Produce Bag is not just another reusable bag. It's an eco-chic solution that replaces the thousands of produce bags used per grocer every day.  Not only is it a smart alternative to plastic in the produce and bulk food departments, it also features a unique bin label and an erasable marker for writing names or bulk bin numbers with a non-toxic dry erase pen, eliminating the need for instore sealing and tagging.  The bags come in two sizes and they are suitable for produce and lunches; the transparent mesh makes them ideal for many other applications.

This is an environmentally-friendly traffic light design.  Three different color-changing LEDs replace the electric energy with solar energy, reduce the manufacturing cost and energy consumption from an infrastructure everybody uses.

Take two same-size plastic bottles, fill one with clean water and connect both bottles to Firebug. Like an hourglass, when water flows from the top bottle to the bottom one, the flow of water lights up the Firebug. One 2-liter bottle can provide up to 15 minutes of light; after that, turn it over and start again.

PACT, a new and innovative online underwear brand, blends design and sustainability with support for powerful social/environmental causes. The core of PACT is deep partnerships with nonprofits: each underwear collection is aligned with a nonprofit and each pair bought donates 10 percent back to the specific nonprofit.  We designed the entire ecosystem; from the bright green compostable shipping pack, to unfolding the underwear from its fabric bag, to info on the cause you are supporting by simply wearing the underwear.

Mion is a high-performance amphibious shoe that provides unique comfort in an ecologically sensitive design. The project incorporated several cutting-edge environmental innovations that have advanced best practices for green product design and development in the footwear industry. Mion contains the first ever Eco Metrics label (inspired by the FDA’s nutritional-facts label) to provide consumers with details on the impact of their purchase. The shoe is heavily comprised of ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA), a relatively inert material.

Celle is a mid- to low-price environmentally advanced task chair for individual workstations, conference and training rooms, and healthcare and home office environments. The design minimizes the use of toxic materials as measured though the Cradle to Cradle design protocol. The chair is 99 percent recyclable and contains 33 percent recycled content. The cellular suspension eliminates the need to glue foam, fabric and plastic together, greatly enhancing recyclability. For users, Celle addresses the most common problem in the workplace: lower-back pain and fatigue.
