Call for Speakers | IDSA 2013 International Conference
IDSA 2013 International Conference Chicago | Aug. 21-24
BREAKING THE RULES
To create revolutionary ideas and game-changing innovations, one must first tear down predefined assumptions.
But how can you know which rules to break and which to keep? First, it is imperative to understand the existing system to choose which structures to keep and which to remove.
“Learn and obey the rules very well, so you will know how to break them properly.”
– Dalai Lama
To explore this principle, we are gathering some of the most inspiring, rule-breaking leaders out there to share successes and failures from design and other disciplines. The speaking sessions will mostly be short –TED style, with a select group of breakout sessions providing a seamless shared experience for the attendees.
As an added bonus, this year IDSA’s International Conference is in heart of downtown Chicago with all it has to offer and we are expecting record attendance of over 800 top design, business and education professionals from across the country and around the world.
If you have a “breaking the rules” experience to share or use methods that help cull the features of rule-breaking design from the surrounding noise, we want to hear from you. Join us in Chicago to explore the creative paradox between following, creating and breaking the rules. We hope to inform and inspire, and break a few rules ourselves along the way!
Paul Hatch, IDSA
