As part of the upcoming IDSA Medical Design Deep Dive 2019, IDSA will once again offer in-situation labs to a select number of conference participants. These highly interactive workshops are unique to IDSA and typically focus on design research techniques for studying workflow, task analysis, contextual inquiry, ergonomics, experience mapping and more! What makes them a truly valuable educational experience is the setting, Boston Children’s Hospital Simulation Center, where participants will engage in life-like medical simulations while learning new skills.
The labs and Medical Design Deep Dive events will be conducted in early October 2019. The facilities available include a classroom, an OR and a room that can be made into an ICU, pre-op or post-op setting. Due to the limited space within the facility, please note that total attendee participation will be limited to 20-30 people.
IDSA is seeking firms, agencies, organizations and educators to submit proposals for facilitating a workshop as part of the Medical Design Deep Dive 2019. The content should be focused on delivering actionable tools and methodologies to attendees through active participation and experiential learning. Sessions can be a half day (4 hours) or a full day (8 hours) in length.
All proposals will be peer reviewed by the conference organizing committee. Please complete the submission form by midnight PST, Monday December 17.
