Bill Moggridge
Bill Moggridge, FIDSA
Bill Moggridge, FIDSA is a cofounder of IDEO, designer of the first laptop, a pioneer of interaction design, author of Designing Interactions and director of the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum.
He was awarded the 2010 Prince Philip Designers Prize, the U.K.’s most prestigious design prize awarded annually to recognize a lifetime contribution to design. As one of the pioneering designers of the 20th century, the jury, chaired by Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, determined that Moggridge has been central to how design helps people understand and use technology.
Bill was the Congress/Conference Chair for the IDSA 2007 International Conference and started working on CONNECTING’07 in 2000, in order to prepare a bid to bring the event to San Francisco, proposed to Icsid at the 2001 Congress in Seoul, Korea.
