Chris Livaudais
Chris Livaudais, IDSA | Atlanta Chair | Info Retail
A resident of Atlanta, GA, Chris is currently working with retail design agency, Info Retail. His work, as Industrial Designer, is centered around creating meaningful in-store experiences and brand connections for consumers. With projects typically involving complex, multi-step buying decisions for the consumer, a complete understanding from the designer's perspective is imperative for a successful outcome. For that reason, Chris' work is heavily based around strategic research and planning used to fuel the creative process and ultimately provide the best possible solution for Info Retail's clients.
Before moving into the consumer experience world, Chris worked for five years as Industrial Designer for an Atlanta based architectural fountain firm. There, he was responsible for the design and implementation of numerous large scale interactive fountains and custom spray effect installations across the country. Building user-focused experiences around a specific place and event provided to be a perfect learning ground for the move to a retail environment. Having the opportunity to work on numerous other projects including submersible light fixtures, children's water-play equipment and corporate branding initiatives also proved valuable in the truest since of industrial design - where style, function and user needs all coexist.
Serving as Treasurer for the Atlanta Chapter of the IDSA, Chris has been heavily involved in the local design community and continues to push for a greater public understanding and education of all forms of design.
Chris completed his Bachelor's of Industrial Design in 2002 from Auburn University.
