Meaning : Discovering Multiple Levels of Meaning in the Design of Objects and Experiences

Meaning can be interpreted many ways regarding the design process. For example:

  • "How can we as designers make the object more meaningful to the user?"
  • "How can the result of a designer's insight make life experience more meaningful?"
  • "How can we identify real problems and provide solutions to the everyday person?" and further,
  • "How can we understand what is meaningful to a person at this time and make that object important, that experience relevant?"

It is these questions that we seek to investigate, explore and present at this conference.
